In this Keyword Blueprint review I’m going to take a look at some of the features of the tool and why I believe it is one of the best keyword research tools on the market.
Keyword Blueprint is a tool that was created by Steven Clayton and Tim Godfrey and first released as part of the Commission Blueprint 2 package in September 2009. Steven and Tim have released a series of high quality products and internet marketing tools so I had high expectations of Keyword Blueprint.
When performing keyword research, you first need to determine the type of campaign you’re going to be running. Is it a PPC campaign or a SEO campaign? The Keyword Blueprint tool is split into two sections, one for SEO and one for PPC. This is the first thing that immediately caught my eye as almost every other keyword research tool doesn’t have this option.
If you decide you want to perform keyword research for a pay per click (PPC) campaign, you’ll first need to select a root keyword. KB (Keyword Blueprint) will then bring you back a list of around 200 related keywords. Each keyword has data for the expected number of daily clicks and the expected cost per click (CPC). This is vital information and any tool that doesn’t give it to you is seriously lacking.
Once you have the initial list of keywords given to you by KB, you can expand that list further by clicking on any keyword which will perform a new search based on that keyword as the root keyword. No duplicates will be returned which is a big bonus as this will make things so much easier when it comes to sifting through the list and choosing your target keywords.
Once you have a list of keywords chosen that look to be high value keywords, you have the option of putting them in the “Offer Evaluator” which will clearly show the chances of making money with your chosen keywords.
You can see an example of me using Keyword Blueprint in the video below – this will show you more clearly how the tool works for PPC purposes.

The other part of Keyword Blueprint is the SEO (search engine optimization) keyword research tool. While this tool is very similar to the PPC tool, it has a few subtle differences. Firstly you’ll notice that each keyword has a small symbol next to it. These symbols relate to the value of each keyword and are based on the number of people advertising with this keyword in Google Adwords.
A green symbol means that a lot of people are advertising for that keyword using Google Adwords, which probably means the keyword has a high commercial value. These are the types of keywords you should be targeting.
You can choose to take a closer look at each keyword by performing an evaluation of selected keywords. If you choose to do this, Keyword Blueprint will analyze the keyword further and return information as to how easy it’s going to be to rank in the top 10 of Google for each keyword. Again symbols are used to make is very clear which keywords are going to be the best to target.
Check out the video below to see an example of me using Keyword Blueprint to find high value keywords for an SEO campaign.

All in all, Keyword Blueprint is a very high quality product. It makes keyword research so much easier and straight forward by performing a lot of analysis that previously would be very time consuming to do. You can quickly see at a glance which keywords you should be targeting for PPC and SEO. The fact that Keyword Blueprint splits up these two types of campaigns is something I particularly like because the needs each type of campaign has are so different.
If you are looking for a new keyword research tool or simply want to stay updated with the best in the business, Keyword Blueprint is a fantastic option that I can’t recommend highly enough. Take advantage of the free 7 day trial today to check it out for yourself.

Keyword research is a crucial step in any PPC or SEO campaign and, unfortunately, it is sometimes neglected. It’s refreshing to see a tool that pays attention to SEO needs and not simply PPC.
Not only is it important to research to find high-traffic keywords, but to find keywords that convert well. By looking at which established advertisers are bidding aggressively on certain keywords, it’s possible find out which keywords may have a high conversion value.
Interesting program – I’ve been doing it all manually for now. Download the csvs from google, run them through algorithm, and then check out the competition on whatever passes. I wonder how it checks the difficulty (search volume, PR, link authority). I’m sure nothing will tell you what they do though.
This is the first step in any online marketing and if not done right, then whatever hard work or efforts you put in, everything is meaningless. I am never aware that such minute things like has to be considered in depth. I cant wait to try the 7 day trial and will keep you posted about my happenings. Thanks for sharing this brilliant tool with us.

Mack!
This looks like a great tool. My question is; I use Linux as my OS on me computer. Will it run in Linux, or only Windows?

Hi Jim, as far as I know it runs on Linux…I personally haven’t tried it with Linux however. The best thing to do would be to send an email to the support team on official Keyword Blueprint sales page. Good luck!
I am using this tool. It is easy to analyze each keyword in more detail to identify how easy it would be to rank for that particular keyword.

Key word Research tool is probably one of the best inclusions in Commission Blueprint 2.0. Just utilizing this tool alone can lead to huge success in your online business. This toolalone could easily sell for the full price off Commission blueprint 2.0. The entire product is one of the greatest I, personally have ever seen in Internet marketing. The way it is structured makes it easily accessible to beginners and pros alike.

Interesting. I am using the generic Google keyword tool for my projects. I have tried other “similar” tools but none has the same supporting data as Google.
